Easter Rising began with the common love of music between friends. Over the years, members have added and faded away, but one thing remains: Communio.
Our shows are not built around traditional performance or glory-seeking. Every time we play together is an opportunity to share our friendships and passions not only with each other, but with those listening, watching, & dancing.
To the band, good music takes a moral stand for beauty, authenticity and solidarity. It is a rejection of radical autonomy in favor of radical communio. Good music is not about who can play the fastest or the best. Music is more than a hobby. In its truest form, music becomes an opportunity for gathering, sharing, and growing in our lives with each other – or in other words, Communio. We hope you come share in our experience!
